Roadtest: Dreambaby Peli’s Bath Play Pouch

Roadtest: Dreambaby Peli’s Bath Play Pouch

Here at 17 Bright Ideas, we are all about finding great things and letting you know about them.  This week’s road test is the Dreambaby® Peli’s Bath Play Pouch.

What is it?

Dreambaby® Peli’s Bath Play Pouch is a terrific way to store all those bath toys that take over you bath once you have kids. It is perfect for all small children, who can sit up independently in the bath tub, and is ideally recommended for children from six months of age. This friendly pelican sits on the side of your bath, has a wide opening to a great net pouch that holds lots of toys. It can be placed either inside or outside your bath, (even when the bath is being used) fits a width of around 13cm and the net pouch is quite deep so it fits plenty of toys and then allows them to dry once bath time is over. CAUTION – Never leave children unattended in the bathroom. There is no substitute for proper adult supervision. You can pick one up for around $39.95 (RRP). Don’t forget to visit the Dreambaby® web site at www.dreambaby.com.au  or call (02) 9386 4000 or in New Zealand, call (09) 274 8788 for more info and why not become a Dreambaby® fan on Facebook.

Now lets move onto the Road Test! We also know that you are pretty busy so here is what Vicki loved in 17 Bright Ideas style:

It keeps things tidy – No longer do you need to put up with toys all over your bathroom. Before I would stack cars and cups and dolls on the side of my bath and usually they would fall back in. Now, they simply sit inside Peli, ready to come out when it’s bath time. It also is a quicker method of clean up. You just toss everything in, rather than having to strategically position each toy so they stay where they are placed.

It holds LOTS – I think one of the best parts of the Dreambaby® Peli’s Bath Play Pouch is that it holds lots of toys. With 4 kids, we have accumulated quite a few bath toys and they all fit into Peli. The net pouch is long (approx 35cm), touches the bottom of the bath, and the mouth of the net is quite wide so you can fit larger toys in it (approx 22 x 16cm).

The kids love Peli – The minute I took Peli out of the box, the kids loved him. He became part of our family. He is bright and friendly. My two boys do like to pull him apart (take the net pouch out) and open and close his beak but that’s part of the fun. He can be multi-functional in that he is a storage solution and also a toy. Younger kids will probably be less distructive.

Easy to air the toys – We have been testing Peli for a few weeks and he hasn’t developed any mold or brownish marks – he still looks as good as the day we got him. It is best to drain the toys before you put them into his pouch but what I really like is that the pouch material feels durable and it is really easy to grab the Peli and leave him outside for a bit of fresh air.

Has it been a Bright Idea?

Yes.  I love the idea of being able to put all the toys in one place. I also love that it’s big enough to hold all the toys. The kids simply love the fact that Peli is bright and something extra to play with.

Who are they a Bright Idea for?

– Anyone looking for a bath toy storage solution. The Dreambaby® Peli’s Bath Play Pouch combines form with function to allow you to take control back of your bath. Next time you want to take a bath, you simply turn Peli around to sit outside the bath and your set.
