This Weeks Featured Bright Idea
This week we featured Healthier Snack Ideas, and we highlighted some different ways of cutting down the fat and sugar content of your favorite snacks.  As we were talking about snacks we received this question from one of our members
“What snacks should I put in my child’s lunchbox”
There are so many things to consider when deciding on lunchbox snacks: Is it healthy?, Will it stay fresh / cold / edible? Does it meet the schools allergy guidelines? Can my child open the packet? Will they eat it?, Does it supply them with enough energy?
Like most people I start with fruit and yoghurt, but love to bulk it up with something interesting such as , air popped popcorn, chopped up vegetables and dip, popped chips,  rice crackers or cakes or homemade items such as museli slice, or mini muffins.  If your school has strict allergy requirements take a look at our list of 17 Bright Ideas for Lunchbox Snacks (Low Allergy).  If you can help our member let us know your thoughts in the comments box below.
We love getting questions from members and we will try and help out wherever possible.  If you have a question just email us at sueandvicki@17brightideas.com.au.
