Help! I’ve Got No Time to Be Social!

Any small business owner will tell you – running your own business is time consuming!  There’s the staffing and the ordering, the accounting and the day to day operations, the customer management and then your child comes home from school and needs to make a diorama of Antarctica and take a plate in for a cake stall (we’ve got you covered on that one by the way – check out 17 Bright Ideas for Quick and Easy morning Teas :)) AHHHH! We all know that marketing your business through social media is one of the best ways to get your name known – but who has time?  Well fear not because have some bright ideas to help you get Social:

Make a Plan

We have all heard the old adage “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail” and nothing is more true than with social media.   There are plenty of great websites out there with social media that hasn’t been touched in 2 months because the owners didn’t have time.  Set up a detailed plan being realistic about what you want to achieve.  Decide which social platforms are most suited to your business and devise a plan around how many posts per week, which ones will be product related, brand related or just to generate traffic and devise a creative plan to ensure you are targeting convertible customers.

Hire an Expert

Find good social media services Sydney or in your area.  A social media consultant can help you devise a strategic plan, devise a schedule for posting and perform those posts, monitor comments, create and test campaigns and analyse and benchmark against your competition.  They can save you time and money by concentrating on the right areas for your business.

Promote, Promote, Promote

You have spent the time creating your social posts, now make sure your efforts are not wasted and the world sees them.  Consider paid promotion of your efforts so that targetted customers can learn about your brand and engage with you.
